Please be advised that John Batty has been providing organisational and personal coaching services for me for the past five months. John uses a holistic style of coaching to review his clients’ emotional, spiritual, physical and intellectual balance and well-being. I have found this style to be very effective in reviewing my past and present work, life and relationships. Over the past few months I have experienced a definite lifting of the depression I had been experiencing. This feeling has been replaced with one of strength and confidence in myself and my capability. I have been able to change my perspective on a number of issues as well as some key work relationships. I now feel much more in control over decisions I have been making at work and am experiencing greater levels of professional success. I would wholeheartedly recommend John and his approach to any client and believe that his capability would be an asset to any coaching service

John has assisted me to identify, clarify and articulate my particular leadership style. He has worked with me, out of my practice experience, rather than impose a blueprint of what a CEO looks and acts like. I have found John to be supportive and insightful in this process. John has provided me with strategies to address relationship challenges in my work environment. Again he has drawn on my own strengths and inclinations in doing this, so as to achieve an outcome that is more likely to be useful and therefore successful. I have also benefitted from the opportunity to explore various paradigms that John has suggested to me, in relation to strategic planning and communication of the organisation's mission and goals. John is always respectful, courteous, professional and supportive in his dealings with me, while being prepared to challenge me to look at things differently. I plan to continue my professional relationship with John as I benefit greatly from our sessions.

I have been having regular coaching sessions with John for about 18 months. During that time, John has helped me review personal and professional goals, analyse how I use my time and energy, and has been a great support and source of encouragement in my striving to achieve a more satisfying work-life balance, and to enhance my effectiveness in running my own business as a facilitator. John has introduced me to a wide range of self-assessment tools around emotional intelligence, attribution style, and resilience which, as a result of my debriefing them with John, have given me some helpful insights. I find John is a very 'present', insightful and affirming listener. I particularly value his rare combination of a wealth of experience as a consultant/facilitator to business and government (very relevant to my own work) together with his skills and training in counselling/coaching. I can wholeheartedly recommend him as a coach and mentor.

I have just had my last coaching session with John Batty today, and I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how appreciative I am of the work we´ve done with John. It has been an outstanding learning curve for me and John has been an excellent coach.

I had the pleasure of using John Batty´s business coaching services. John is experienced and well practiced in the area of business coaching, which is accentuated through his open and friendly style. John is naturally intuitive and will assist in identifying underlying themes and issues, while challenging the client to review established thinking and to look through different lenses to find alternate options. John´s approach is professional and focused on achieving the best outcomes for the client.  I thoroughly recommend John´s services

John´s approach is never predictable or prescriptive. He has a style which guides one´s thinking in such a way that one arrives at previously non-obvious solutions to problems. He adopts the "open question" very well - and often poses another question to you when you were expecting an answer. However he does it in such a way that you start to realise you are answering your own questions. John imbues the sessions with a wealth of knowledge and references to the body of literature associated with the art of interpersonal development. However the academic side never intrudes upon the personal approach which he adopts - it simply adds value, credibility and further avenues for follow up and study

I have had the pleasure of working with John Batty as my coach for the past couple of years and I have derived immense value out of our interactions and John's insightful and engaging way of imparting wisdom and enabling me to push my own preconceived boundaries to do more than I thought I could. John's intellect, experience and chameleon like ability to vary his approaches and cover such diverse topics has meant he has worked with me as a facilitator, mentor, cheerleader, task master and sounding board. John's holistic approach has benefited me greatly both professionally and personally.
